What is Rising Damp?
Rising damp is essentially a flow of water from the ground up into a wall structure. The water essentially seeps into the pores of the wall. Rising damp is common in older buildings, but can also occur in more modern buildings if your damp-proof course has been damaged. Distinctive features are discolouration that make it look like the bottom section of your wall is wet, or bumps and peeling on the wall that resembles prolonged water damage. Though it may cause unsightly aesthetic damage, rising damp can also cause a buildings structure to be compromised, and cause you much more trouble in the future.
Make sure you act fast in treating Rising Damp, if left too long you may allow Mould to grow also.
Unlike other treatment systems, Dryzone is completely safe with no volatile chemicals. There was an incident in South Australia where a house exploded from a treatment that involved an older non-cream treatment with silicones and a paraffin based carrier with poor safety procedures. Using Dryzone eliminates any risks.
Dryzone treatments are typically completed up to 3 faster than other injection treatments, so your household will be back to normal before the days end. Other treatment systems typically leave bottles protruding from walls and other equipment for long periods of time.
As a water based cream, targeted injection of Dryzone with a nozzle into pre-drilled holes eliminates any risk of damage to other areas that typical pressure-injection systems cause.
You choose a uniquely healthy option with Dryzone as it is ordourless, non-toxic and contains no hydrocarbon solvents. Even bedrooms can be slept in on the same day as application. Asthma sufferers will breath easy.
Dryzone was developed in the U.K. in 2000 using an extensive in-house research and development programme. The testing proved that Dryzone provided a much higher effectiveness in protecting against dampness than that of chemical injection systems. Dryzone has therefore earned its status as the best selling system in the world.
Dampness spreads through walls using tiny cracks and voids, just like capillaries. Targeted Dryzone treatments act exactly the same way, ensuring an even and thorough application.
When it’s healthy for you, it’s healthy for the environment too! Non-chemical Dryzone is created with over 60% active ingredients which are based on medical grade silicones derived from quartz. In addition to medical equipment & instruments, this quality material is also used for such things as cosmetics and sealants. Dryzone is therefore allergy free, non-caustic and non-flammable.
Dryzone contains 63% by weight active ingredients, compared to 15-20% by weight active ingredients in competitive creams now being sold in Australia, giving superior results. Dryzone can be applied up to three times faster which saves you money on labour costs.
