Sub Floor Ventilation is also known as the underfloor space, you may think it is insignificant because it does not involve your normal living space. But, the reality is that Sub Floor does actually have a high impact on the quality of the air you breathe in while you are indoors and may affect your health if your Sub Floor vents are insufficient and inappropriate.
Mould will often grow in dark, humid environments that receive very little airflow, such as the Sub Floor area under a house. Sub Floor Ventilation systems are often used to help prevent mould from growing in these dark, damp spaces. They work by removing the humid air from the Sub Floor area under your home and pushing it outside, rather than up into your home. During this process, the vents in the walls of your Sub Floor will also suck in fresh air from outside, circulating it under your home to promote drying of damp structures. Each house is very different, therefore we design each of our systems to fit your unique situation and achieve the ultimate goal of cross ventilation through every part of your Sub Floor. Ventilation is one part of the removal process, check out our Mould Removal page to learn about the rest.
Poor Sub Floor ventilation could lead to health issues for you and your loved ones. It could cause also damage to some parts of your home or commercial space that are susceptible to decay that do not have ventilation fans. This damage is caused by the growth of mould due to high humidity levels in your premises.
Mould Pro team ensures that they eliminate the stale and moist air from the subfloor using Sub Floor ventilation systems and fans to ensure that only fresh and dry air occupies that underfloor space.
